Week 17: November
I fell off the wagon completely after my blogging partner (mom) went back home, and this weeknote is three weeks long, lol.
- 🚗 I started my driving lessons! AAAAAAAAAH!
- 🎨 Gifted myself a Disney coloring book, a set of 120 Castle Arts colored pencils (wonderful), a box of 150 Crayola Super Tips water-based markers and 24 Crayola Colors of the World markers.
- I debated long about buying the more expensive alcohol markers, but I just don't know if I'll stick to coloring books for more than 2 months… So I bought the cheap crayolas and that will scratch the itch! Future purchase plans include acrylic markers and tempera sticks for my art journal!
- 🖼️ Speaking on it, I'm a bit intimidated by my illustrated journal / art journal / dear diary / sketchbook. As ridiculous as it sounds, I'm afraid of messing up my own journal that no one will ever see. I overthink it, I don't know if I should just doodle my day, of if I should use watercolors, if it's ok to use it for random art experiments, if it's a waste of good paper to simply write some days… Getting myself anxious over such a dumb thing. I just realized, this very second, that this is just me avoiding the anxiety of other things (trading, learning to drive, insomnia, dog getting old etc). I'll try to be more open-minded and playful with it.
- 📷 My husband gifted me a Xiaomi 15 Ultra to replace my six years old Samsung! The Ultra is the only phone I ever felt excited about. Co-engineered with Leica, the biggest sensor of all smartphones out there… It is a big deal and a photographer's dream. And it will be mine in a few days!
- 🐶 Astro is driving me crazy. He started barking in the middle of the night. I come running downstairs, let him out, and then wait for ten minutes as he smells the air, walks slowly around the garden, eats some random wooden stick… And then after one or two hours, right when I'm finally falling asleep, he does it again! It's really impossible to sleep at all.
