A river in Norway

I went to Barcelona for a photography workshop. Jaanus joined me for the weekend to celebrate his birthday. A friend casually commented, "wow, right now it's snowing in Stockholm, while we sit by the beach and drink beer". The seed of an idea, planted in our heads.
I had no idea then that we would end up moving to Barcelona, that I'd quit wedding photography, change careers. That we'd spend our summers AND our winters drinking beer and enjoying the sun by the beach.

Those past two days have felt so cold here in Barcelona. Wishing I could go back one month to an incredibly warm day visiting Tarragona.

Castell de Xàtiva. Memories of a warm day when both my mom and my dog refused to climb all the way to the top of the mountain to get the best view of the castle.

Throwback to enjoying summer with my mom and our little trip to Valencia! This is the Umbracle, a suspended park with palm trees and local flora, in the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències.

Loved visiting the medieval pueblo of Montblanc yesterday. So incredibly charming. Locals believe the famous fight between Saint George and the Dragon actually took place in the mountains surrounding the pueblo -- and absolutely NOT in Cappadocia, as we have all been wrongly led to believe. Beautiful red roses grew where the dragon blood was spilled, and this is why Catalans gift roses to each other on the day of Sant Jordi. So now you know it too.

I take my dog every single day to the gardens behind Sagrada Familia. Who would have thought?

Morocco is a place of contrasts. An unsuspecting door in a back alley opens up to a parallel universe of mosaics, carved wood and beauty. 🗺️

I remember the first time I looked up while walking in the street. I was a kid, in my hometown of Recife, and I noticed some numbers at the very top of an old building. 1908. The year of the construct...
Snaps from Girona. We had a lovely weekend, walks all over town, ate good food, had delicious vermut at a cute little terrace, and the chocolatiest cup of hot chocolate ever!
